Sweet Sounds of Saturdays

The sweetest sound this Saturday is that of Bat For Lashes. If you're after someone with a stunning voice, but a little alternative, she is the one! Bat for Lashes includes tribal elements and unusual instruments which adds to the depth and overall quality of her sound. It's the kind of music you can listen to hundreds of times and every time the experience changes.

This talented English girl plays the piano, guitar, harpsichord and autoharp. Like most of the other Sweet Sounds of Saturdays artists I have mentioned, she completed a degree in music and visual arts, and incorporates many classical elements and instruments. I've blogged about Natasha Khan before, isn't she cute? I love her eclectic style.

"Whenever I'm writing music it's a very visual place in my mind. It has a location full of characters and colours and landscapes, so those two things really complement each other, and they help the other one to blossom and support the other. They are like brother and sister."
